Crisp Whites, tells the story of Nina Yusof.

Irish Nina and Greek Stavros are living an ordinary Australian love story. They have survived the fallout of their cross-cultural marriage, and have stuck together through highs and lows. Their lives now seem stable and secure.

Nina is a hard worker, a faithful wife and a joyful mother... but she is also restless. She craves something... and it turns out to be adventure.

Making a radical detour from the main road of her life, and in the face of her husband’s doubts, Nina joins the Navy at thirty-three...

It's a reasonable idea... Super Dad and Toddler Boy are on their way back from visiting Great Grandpa and offer to meet me in the city for a little late afternoon ramble. Toddler Boy will stretch his legs, we might browse some windows... it'll be good.

How hard can it be?

"10 mins" says the first text message.
"hmmm... traffic" says the next one, 12 minutes later.

I have just returned from an excellent family holiday in the north of this wide, brown land. Escaping the chilly winter weather for a bit of a bask, a bit of a laze around and a few sleep-ins, enjoying lots of family time and even getting to talk writer stuff... I tell you what! Ideas are sizzling away in my head but now that I am back in the deadline-packed world of work I have so little time to write!
(*sigh*)
Patience, huh? Have you got some for me?
